The car that got me into the whole VW world...

MKII GTI 8v

It was a POS bearly running car... but I didn't know better... about a year and a half later got this in Sept of 03

MKIV 1.8T notable mods: APR 91 and H&R cupkit on 18x8 HP EVO's

After about a year of owning that I did the Jetta swap

And after hitting a few things in the 3 years of owning my MKIV GTI this is what it looked like at the end... pretty bad...

and in july of 06 I got my MKV Rabbit 2.5

some wheels and a drop later

Next??? Maybe a MKV CW 2.0T in spring...

The 3 with a bit of power were the following

MY00 S2K with Comptech S/C, aftercooler w/front mount and pulley. The car made 325rwhp on a dynodynamics. Funnest car I've owned.

MY04 STi. Made 425awhp on 100 octane an 19psi with a bunch of APS stuff.

MY06 EVI IX with a flash and exhaust. Handled like it was on rails.

One question tho for dpham00 why carpet the top of the dash????? Just not something I have seen all that much of.

i think it gives it a better look, plus it hides the wiring and supports the back-up sensor display.

i'll probably get one for my mkv one of these days.

The real purpose is to eliminate glare on the windshield. It's meant for autocrossers but a lot of people just use it to cover up blemishes and the like.

I'm not a big fan of them aesthetically but I love their functionality. It makes a huge difference when you're driving.

exterior:
ford mustang mach 1 lip
spec v headlights
rota 15x7.5 slipstreams

suspension:
koni yellow struts+tanabe GF210 spring
nismo hard rubber bushing + front control arms
all sway bars
harness bar welded to frame (baller ish, best bar EVER to mod the handling characterists of a car)

interior:
had a race seat that i would put in for autocross events, you can sort of see it in this pic, its a red momo

performance:
sr20 motor swap with full bolt ons in the beginning, had a buddy that owned a shop sponsor me and did a head swap w/ port and polish and cams and all the rest at no charge to me.

I miss this car dearly

the car would of been boosted and finished if nissan didnt want $10,500 to buy the lease out :thumbdown:
