Mk5 Rabbit Wheels

I just bought this car and put snow tires on the stock rims. I was looking to buy a nice set of rims for summer tires and don't know whether to get 17" or 18" rims. Anybody know which size would work/look best?

18's obviously look better, but usually cost more and will have a slightly rougher ride due to less tire sidewall.

It's all preference and depends on your budget, honestly

Lowering it a little helps with the look too, btw

Okay guys for some reason the forum wont let me post a new thread about this in the wheel and suspension section, so if anyone has any help here let me know. So I have a 2008 mkv rabbit (4Door) and so far ive gotten coilovers in, stubby antenna, votex lip, gti spoiler extension, aggressive eye lids, and last but not least polished copper C4 sawblades. Although I don't have adapters yet. The wheels are 17x9.5 all around which is scary lol. I have heard horror stories about fitting 9.5's up front on an mkv. The wheels have 205/40's all around, I have heard some people say 215s are better and some say 205s are the way to go. From my understanding, the best size adapters to go with are 20mm all around if the wheels are square 9.5. If anyone here has some input on if 20mm adapters all around are the way to go? Will I need camber adjustments? or pulled fenders? I would like to keep my fender looking stock yet rolled. SO if anyone has any input on those questions, fell free to pm me or just reply. Sorry for blowing up this tread way off topic but this damn forum wont let me post.
