I feel like it's a smidge lacking in the ability to search for a business name department. I attempted to search for a rather popular business locally and it only pulled up one of the locations. I had to google to get the address for the location I was looking for.

This makes me happy I'm still rocking ios5 on my 4S... I'll update whenever a real Google maps app is available. It's almost as bad as Apple trying to make their own search engine and making you use that for searching with Safari.

I'm using the Google Maps as a web app and it's great.

I'm using the Google Maps as a web app and it's great.

I think the web app on the 5 is better than google maps on my 4. It's a little less fluid, but the traffic is better (shows red w/black lines, etc) and comes up much faster than it did on my 4, thanks to 4G and the faster processor. Having nav is also really nice. It's not as good of a solution as google maps on android, but it's better than it was before.

Interesting, I have not had good luck with any web apps. I guess I'll try to google maps one for a bit.

I was hoping the standalone google maps app would be available for download by now.
