Broken Washer Fluid Tube... Fixes?

Hey guys,

My Windshield Wiper Washer Fluid Tube has cracked, like all mkv's, near the hinge of the hood.

What's the best DIY fix for this? I haven't seen any good threads on reliable fixes.

Anyone know the diameter of the tube? If I knew that, I could go get the correct silicone tubing and fix it, but I have no clue what size to get.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You could delete the fill neck. A 1" threaded PVC cap fits on there

I fixed mine over six years ago...I made this vid after the repair was done and I was sure it would work. It did and has been solved for 6 years now. I did purchase more oem tubing in case I needed to replace the whole length in the future, but haven't had the need to date :thumbsup:

But a question: Isn't the corrugated tubing just sheathing around another smaller tube inside of it?

No. It really is the tubing itself.
