the newest rating is "SA 2005"
dont buy anything that isn't rated at that
helmets are all about fit
find a local retailer that carries different brands and models
Fly down to TX and I'll find one to wear if you'll pay for my tires. How about dis?View attachment 22842
I would pay to see someone show up at an auto x or track day with one of these on.
lol
an SA helmet isn't going to protect you any better if you don't have a cage to hit your head and/or if you don't catch fire.
if it's required, it's required. still doesn't make it logical.
I absolutely agree.Well I'd rather have a helmet that I can use no matter what organization, car, or track I am driving with. I would hate to have spent $250 on an M rated helmet and then find out that in order to race at track X or with organization/club Y that I need an SA rated helmet and then have to drop an additonal $250+ for a properly rated helmet.
I take it you have a cage and wear a full driving suit everytime? You should never skimp on safety.
