So I was an avid member of these forums for quite a while and while I still peruse I'm really not into the car scene like I used to be. This is what been holding my interest these days... an 82 Kawasaki KZ750 LTD.
I bought the bike looking like this for $540 from a friend of a friend who had neglected it for years.
The original goal was to make it a good runner, make it a little cooler and ride it. I derusted and painted the 4-1 MAC header, chopped down the seat, installed superbike handlebars, did a ton of cleaning, powdercoated the headlight bucket, exhaust hanger bracket and miscellaneous other bits and stripped the tank which got me here...still pretty ugly but miles better than what it was.
Decided I couldn't live with it as is and started to chop more. New seat pan, removed side covers, relocated some wiring added a rear frame loop, added pods and a dynojet jet kit.
So messy.
Camping mat for a seat.
Hated the "raw" look. I usually like it but it was too dirty and rusty in this case. Painted the tank with Vintage Gold Plasitidip, added UNI pods instead of cheap EMGO units.
