2.75" vs. 3" on BT

does a BT like the GT30 require a 3" intake? what would be the effects of running a 2.75 inch intake.. a nice technical answer would be good :happyanim: would there be the possibility of choking the engine in a sense by not getting enough flow? or would the power just be relative to the amount of air coming in?

there is a lot of answer to this question. dont base your turbo plans off your intake though, you have what you have so run with it until it proves to be a restriction.

you need to run whatever size intake (cross-sectional area @ MAF) that the software you're running for calls for. otherwise, the MAF reading would not be accurate.

havent really found a good answer.. only yes/no. the reason im asking is because on the GT30 kit it says if you already have a 3" intake you dont need to get theirs. just wanted to know the effects of running a smaller sized intake on a turbo like this
