it is because the MK6 is actually more a facelift of the MK5 then a new car while the MK7 is rumoured to be an all new one

I don't think Germans know how to do anything but facelifts.

I really like it and would buy one is it ticked all the other boxes.

Honestly, I don't want to like the MkVII because I want to keep the MkVI for a while... lol.

If that rendering is at all accurate, I do like it, although probably not enough of a change to warrant another switch.

I don't know they where pretty accurate with the mkvi, regardless imo most of the changes you see to a new mark designation will be technology upgrades. I don't think vw will mess too much with the sheetmetal of a great selling car, but slap on some led's & make a new driver interface & upgrade handling & engine efficiency & it will sell. I like the rendering almost has a boser type front.
