VW Body Shop Not Guranteeing Paint

I recently got rear-ended so I took my car into a certified Volkswagen body shop. (Don Valley Auto Collision).

When I brought it in, I asked about getting my lowers painted (rear bumper/sides/lip), but they said they won't do it because they cannot guarantee the work ie. they wont cover it under warranty.

My question is, is this the same with ALL VW body shops? I know others have had their lowers painted at official VW places, but I've never heard it being a problem before.

it's more of a pain to prep, and you have to use the right paint method, but if done right, then it should be fine.

After two months and several body shops, I finally found one that would do my lowers...with a lifetime warranty, and it only took a week to get done. Most of them either said "Can't be done" or " maybe, but we won't warranty it because it will chip" WTF?!

Try checking out a street rod shop. They may have a hook-up with a custom paint/body shop.
