When looking at the VMR site, specifically the VMR 710's..

- I understand that our wheel pattern is 5 x 112.
- Offset 35/45 - I'm given a choice here?
- Centerbore - 57.1 / 66.6 - Another choice? WTF is Centerbore?

45 offset and 57.1 centerbore which is the size of the big hole in the middle of the wheel. you can also use a wheel with a larger hole but you will need hub rings then that transition from whatever size your wheel has down to your hub size. mkv is 57.1.

I ordered the 18's the other day.
I also ordered some 225/40/18 tires, I'm being told this stretch is very minimal.

it won't stretch to much since it has a bit of height to it.. the only thing with getting a different tire is that you are slighly chaning the diameter

you will get a slight different read out in speed. but if you want to go with a tire that wil be rather flush i think 235/40-18 would be the one to go with

So, what you're saying is that if you were to go with 225's on a 8.5 over a 235 you could "increase" your wheel gap?
