It's all going to plan, if your plan was to show the world how weak your military really is, suffer 10 - 20% casualties, have your tanks decimated, and commit mass war crimes to control an area of Ukraine you already controlled before the war started.

Kim Matthews, commercial director at Edible Oils, told the BBC: "From a UK consumer perspective, sunflower oil is the biggest oil. It's used more than anything else. It's a fast-moving situation.

"We're still trying to see if we can get some more but it's looking very tight."

Mr Matthews added that the shortage could last more than a year.

He said: "At the moment, Ukrainian farmers should be sowing the seeds now for harvest in October and November. Clearly, that's not going to happen… we're probably going to miss the season so we could be impacted for 12-18 months."

As a result of the shortage, manufacturers of products including crisps, chips and cereal bars have been forced to alter their recipes and replace sunflower oil with refined rapeseed oil.

I've been saying that since the start of the "war"....& so have many UK intelligence officers..Putin's wanting the area back....in fact many people in various financial newspapers that I read have over the past 20yrs been raising doubts as to the ease of which the west & (mainly the UK banking/property lot) have allowed Russian oligarchs money to flood in to the west..

I also note that the author of that article only devotes one line to the Holodomor......& doesn't name it..& doesn't mention Stalin's Operation Lentil against the Chechens.


Like I said before Russia has got form on what its doing..... & people think that the UK was/is still the worst for being "Imperialistic/Empire-ist" .....:rolleyes:
