Anyone know where the best place to pick up a RCD-510 is?

I agree, eBay is probably the best choice, but make sure it's the US version. It sounds like you want to retain the OEM look? If you want all of the bells and whistles i.e. BT, you have to get the 9W3 or 9W7 if you want BT audio streaming. Those go for $300-$350 though, so now, even if you get a RCD-510 for $400, now you're looking at up to $750, plus you have to update the CAN-BUS.

I priced it all out at one point because I didn't need the NAV with the RNS-510. But by the time you get every option, you're spending almost $800 for a non-NAV, but OEM radio. Oh, you have to update the antenna as well if you want to use the HD radio feature. The other thing I can't recall is the white MFD in 09+'s vs the red MFD. I think the CAN BUS module takes care of that, but I could be wrong.

Here's a DIY.

After I did my research, I just decided to ditch the OEM idea, which I really like, it just wasn't worth it for me. I could get the Alpine INA-W910 for admittedly more money, but everything is built in, and it has NAV. To go with an RNS plus BT, now you're over $1500 lol. The INA-W910 has BT, HD radio built in (no need to modify the stock antenna), NAV, and it's 50W x 4 channels, so it functions as an improved amp as well. The best part? It's optimized for iPhone's and has an actual Pandora app built in so it's not always defaulting to the iPod app. Yes, the increased power means the stock speakers will probably go out, but if you're going to invest any type of money into the HU, you might as well do it right the first time, right?

I think anything before an '08 requires the updated CAN BUS even with the Alpine, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Steering wheel controls supposedly remain intact too.

That's my .02.

I see you still have amazing weather out there Blaine. It wasn't horrible today - only 86*, but humid as fuck.

Tell me about it. Storms are still missing us though. I guess that's good though because they're super cells.

Thanks for your help. I am trying to keep the OEM look but you gave me something to think about.
