swap premium radio for nav unit... anyone

I want to replace the "premium" radio in my 2007 GTI with a navigation model with aux input and optional rear camera input

what all do I need to make the swap? anyone done this and have how to?
tried search but only found about Nav color changes not upgrading from one to the other unit

A million threads on this.. Google will tell you all.. Very easy , may need to upgrade you canbus system with a later model other than it's a simple swap over after requiring all the necessary parts.
RNS 510- rear camera, antenna for the nav and am fm
Adapter and the canbus gateway and if you have iPod option in your system now you may need to swap out a few pins also. Again easy and lots of threads on this however if you choose not to it will coz unwanted interference through the mp3 option. Not a nice sound.

Yeah, there are tons of discussions about this on here. Just do a search. The OEM nav unit is way too $$$ in my opinion. There are some Chinese made knockoffs for around $500 but they all have mixed reviews. If you're feeling adventurous check out this tread, this is what I'm planning to do soon:
