Just wanted to add that the recommendation I've always received was that you remove and install spark plugs from a cold engine (when working on one with an aluminum head).

Regarding the loosening of plugs with aluminum heads...I have heard before that it is a good thing to crack each plug loose, just 1/8 turn or 45°. Replace the coils and start the engine and rev it. This is so any loosened carbon that was stuck to the end of the plug gets sucked away from the plug rather than being drawn into the treads. Then shut it off and swap the plugs out. I haven't done this before but I may do so in the future.
