You'll need the antenna/aerial adapter for a start.

Upgrading 2nd generation radios (RCD 300, RCD 500) to 3rd generation (RCD 210, RCD 310, RNS 310, RNS 510, RCD 510) antenna adapter

Suitable GPS Antenna that will come with the unit.

You'll need to code the unit using Vagcom/VCDS and also change the outputs to low if you have the factory amp installed.

Thanks man!!!

Guys, if you had the choice, would you pick a B version RNS510 over a C Version? I understand the C Version is technically better but looks like the B Version is more compatible?

I'm leaning towards a C version as I beleive my Car (MY09 - Built August 08) is young enough to not have to worry about any other hardware upgrades and will only require limited VAGCOM programming to get the steering wheel controls to work.

Lend me your thoughts please!

I've purchased the C version, which arrived today. However, I also need to get the new CANbus and antenna adaptor due to the age of my car.:bonk:

I found a cheap CANbus on ebay.:happyanim:
