My last significant headphone purchase was the curiosity known as the Realistic Pro-50. Prior to that it was the elusive AKG K-270 Playback. My rig at the office is foobar2k wasapi to a fully optioned y2 dac, to an objective2 i built, to the headphone dujour. right now a bass-heavy yh-3 that i tuned flat.

I'm sorry but I'm a Sennheiser fanboy. :lol: I was lucky enough to try the 800s and I just can't explain it but there's just something magical about them.

Interesting...Their price is around the same as the entry level Audio Technicas ATH series. Time to dig some more.
