I've been on the forum for about a year now and now that i've been been making steady money I am able to start modding (enhancing) my car. So i decided to make a build thread.

She's an '09 TSI, 6 speed, base model
For a first car, I'm in love

My list for the future:
-Turboback Exhaust
-Intake
-Stage 2 Tune
-Coilovers
-Thunderbunny Rear Bumper
-Wolfsburg Front Grille
-Possibly K04

What's up guys,
Of course one of the first things everyone wants on their car is an exhaust. I love that deep tone an exhaust makes and I hate fart cannons, so I searched.
After about a week I finally bought this.

Borla's exhaust are great and it's just what I wanted.

How does the Borla set-up sound? I have a techtonics tuning 2.5" catback with borla muffler on my Mk3 and it sounds excellent! Get compliments on it all the time. My only issue with the borla system for Mk5's is that they are only 2.5", not 3". Did you get a downpipe also or just the CB for now?

Whats up guys,
So here's what I got
I didn't like the ride height so decided it was time for some coilovers. At the time I thought I wanted to go in the race car direction so I got some Bilstein PSS Coilovers.
I get so excited when parts come to my door like this

And here it is on my car


The ride is stiffer, but I'm ok with it. Everyone who rides in my car says the ride is terrible but that's cus they drive boring cars.


Next thing that I added on was an Intake
I got introduced to Unitronic by a friend of mine who has an MK6 Golf.... and AU Tuning is one of the nearest Tuning shop around
My decision came at the perfect time. The last day of the sale. And it was free installation




I don't have a tune yet so I can't experience the full gains (not much anyways) of the intake but theres 2 things I notice:
1. I got like 2 mpg more
2. It sounds great

What's the little filter in front of the main one for?

It's for the secondary breather. The secondary breather is for the emissions on the car. I believe it's because it is a CBFA

Hey what's up guys,
The next thing that came to my car is wheels.
I was supposed to go stage 2 next, but my tires were done. So I thought, why not get wheels while I'm at it.
I was looking into 3 piece wheels, going for stance but I slowly realized I was on a champagne diet, on a beer budget.
While I was on the forums I came across VIP Modular.
They had a cast wheel that I liked and so I decided to pull the trigger on them.

The Start of the day


Went down to 714 Tires to stretch the tires, then headed over to Fender Defender Garage to roll my fenders


The guys at Fender Defender are great, made some friends. I will definitely be going back.
Anyways I digress. After FD Garage, I went back to 714 Tires to get my alignment done and add some camber.


And here is the finished product


Getting a little soapy


And full body



At the end of the day I love the finished product. But I think that I need more low. Hmmm, more low.... Thinking I need Ultra Lows
