Hey guys and gals! I just traded in my '01 AP1 S2K for a '08 grey gti. I thought i would say hello. My name is Andrew Shaffer, i am 21 and i am stationed at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. I am originally from PA. I am looking forward to attending GTI meets and such. The S2K world was nice but i needed a car that was more realistic, something the has room, speed, looks and semi good gas mileage. Haha oh and ya CHEAPER INSURANCE!! haha. Looking forward to being in the VW GTI family.

Nope the side is painted orange.

Show your emblem. Did you do the stripe orange too? Your mkv looks good.

I bought my first one from tmtuning in Germany. The other two I painted myself. This one I did. It's pretty simple. Just take it easy separating the two pieces of the emblem, after you pull it from the grill.

I didn't strip the emblem. It's prep'd and painted. I wouldn't recommend stripping the chrome off it.
