My Best Day Evar Today -- What's Yours?

Is that why Las Vegas is one of the hardest hit cities in the US right now? City Center was on the verge of collapse and every hotel in Vegas is taking a massive hit on room rates.

I think vegas is a little different.

I work for a government run and regulated casino, there are only a few "private" casinos where I live. Even those that are privately run are still in part owned by the company I work for, and are regulated as such.

Also, Vegas is a tourist city. Casinos and hotels are being hit hard because they have come to depend on the tourist income. People aren't travelling these days because money is tight(er), so they don't see that money anymore. However, I bet you anyone local to Vegas is still gambling away. The casinos where I live don't depend on tourist income (except for the border sites), so revenue has remained relatively constant throughout this economic downturn.

Congrats, I had a bitchin' monday. Scored an 87 (out of 99) on my ASVAB. Gonna call recruiting office tomorrow to see if they received my line scores, if so get to find out if I qualify for the jobs I want.

Congrats, I had a bitchin' monday. Scored an 87 (out of 99) on my ASVAB. Gonna call recruiting office tomorrow to see if they received my line scores, if so get to find out if I qualify for the jobs I want.

congrats on that man, which branch? I'm heading out on the 4th for air force BMT. got a 90 on my ASVAB, but only qualified for about 40% of the jobs because of my damn vision. Make sure you go get a waiver before you go to MEPs for the depth perception test

When we deployed to Desert Shield and it became Desert Storm. Training all of my service career and now I could put it all to work!!! I was in heaven.

Navy either SWCC which is special forces or intel. Gonna be getting a couple waivers including vision and medical for some plates.
