I came. Seriously they raise the bar with every game.
During the exfil part I was having trouble distinguishing russian ships from us, I assume the only russian ones were those mini gun boats and it was the us ships being hit?
lmfao. you are so blinded to the fact that they do not raise any sort of bar with these games. and I own every single COD except for big red one (and Black Ops is basically all I play), so I have a good perspective to add.
this trailer shows how MW3 is yet another regurgitated COD. the FIRST thing i noticed in that trailer is that the checkpoint reached and "44m" goal away ARE THE EXACT FUCKING SAME AS IN PAST CODs. it's the same scripted shit where you'll open a door and 3 enemies will come out (and come out from the same spot every time you play through the level lol), the same slo-mo breaching shit, the same teammate doing a super sick omg 1337 stabbing kill where you can fucking shoot the enemy before your teammate does anything but the guy won't die because the shit is all scripted.
I'm laughing because you clearly don't know what innovation is. You're taken by all the flashing lights and glittering shit. Cool, there is an over the top new story. Having a new story does not mean the gameplay itself is significantly (or even moderately) new. And that stuff about scuba diving? Do you not know what the basic formula of COD campaigns is? You've got regular gameplay where you're just shooting and blowing shit up and then COD has always thrown in "special" moments where you're doing something "legit" like operating an AC-130 or shooting off the back of an out of control truck or shooting at a helicopter from a collapsing bridge. Those 2 components sum up the regurgitated COD gameplay.
Play past CODs a few more times and then take another look at this trailer. The gameplay itself is the EXACT same. That is not raising the bar. PS I should add I'm not pissed at you, I'm more pissed at the fact that Activision is able to trick people like you (and there's a hell of a lot of you) into thinking that they're innovating when they're really just releasing another interactive movie. COD campaigns are fucking interactive movies.
