In that case: Yes, I have that sensor bolted to my oil pan. I thought it was the oil level sensor to warn me if the oil level is low. I'm going to buy what you sent me right now.

Edit: I just bought it. It will take a few weeks to arrive to me in Jamaica.

I will upload later the Odis Engineering and send you the link to download it so you can flash any .SGO file you may want/need.

Buy this tool it works with me...

http://www.buyobdii.com/vas-6154-odis-vw-audi-skoda-diagnostic-tool-p-1599.html

Once you have it, I will send you the Q version.

The oil level/temp sensor located in the oil pan.
I have this item in hand right now. I'm asking you for the Q version.
Why would VW provide me the sensor if there was no way for the driver (or the ECU to use it)?

Would flashing the "Q" version trip my immobiliser or cause me to lose my custom software tune?

Would flashing the "Q" version trip my immobiliser or cause me to lose my custom software tune?

Congratulations for receiving the tool.
I am on vacation now, I will send you the Q version once back.
Don’t know the reason for VW, but I am enjoying seeing the oil temp on my MFD and it’s really nice.

Flashing the Q version shouldn’t impact the immobilizer but for sure you will lose any tune you have on the ECU!

I've been playing with the tool last night (not the way that it sounds). My issue is that I can't actually use the "Flashing" option from the copy of the ODIS software I received, as I'd need to have a valid login. I was hoping to simply select a "local" file on my laptop like the one you would provide for me.

Please do enjoy your vacation.

Don’t worry, once I back I will send you the link for an easy Odis tool. It’s the Odis Engineering :)

Thanks for your assistance. I got a copy of Odis Engineering. My issue is that I don't know "where" to get the updated *.*SGO files for all my modules below. My version of the software didn't come with these files although I imported numerous "projects" during the post-installation process.
I'm leaving a snippet of my existing hardware for your perusal in two parts, as it exceeds the 1,000 character limit.

Unfortunately I don’t know exactly the updates for the existed SW versions you have. But if you know the files you need please send to me the files you need and I will try to send to you.
I will send you the ECU Q revision tomorrow max.

Thank you. I see your file. I'm going to download it.
I'm afraid to lose my current Stage2 flash (based on my "R" ECU version).
Then I brick the ECU trying to flash "that" on top of the "Q" firmware I would receive from you.

Can you explain how it works for these ECU types? My understanding is that the software simply has the data in slightly diferent "storage" areas in ROM.

Also, you have triggered my greed to find out what other firmware updates are available for the various component of my car (such as radio, and ABS unit). I don't know "which SGO files to ask you for.

You will lose the stage2 flash you have once you flashing your ECU by the Q revision.
Unfortunately, I don't have enough information for other updates that you may need. If you know the version then send it to me and I will look for it for you.

You should get a set of the Eibach R2 with the remote reservoirs, usually 3600 plus shipping, closeout for 1850.... much different level of suspension than what you are looking at for similar price.

Could you send me the link for this kit?
It’s a very good price..

Just very quick and good update :)
The ECU has been forced to code the AWD parameter and now the car works much much better. The car behavior changed.
Thanks for my brother Ussama who is always helping me in such stupid things [emoji23]

Stay tuned, more is coming [emoji6]

Sway bars advise.
————————-

I am comparing between the H&R and SuperPro sway bars.
Both will be same size; 24mm for front and 26mm for rear.
I will install them in my AWD Scirocco.
All opinions are more than welcome :)
