Bear in mind, I am asking because I am learning.

Without the rear perches, what exactly is holding in the spring in the rear? And does the perch mount on the top of the spring or the bottom?

the same thing that holds the stock spring in place, a little indent/cup thing. mounts on top iirc, really you could mount it either way, I don't know for sure though as I have never had mine in.

its not special.
also after the alignment and springs have settled and all that jazz final measurements are:

23 3/4" on all four corners, I have about 4" clearance on the lowest part on the front of my car.

Lucky son of a bitch. My Thunderbunny front end has 4'' at 25'' height. :cry:

I've been looking at these for awhile but I just can't get past that price. For that price, I can get FKs or add another 300 and get Ultra Lows. And I would be able to go lower aswell.
