Keyfob unlocking not working

well, it sorta works. lock works, trunk works, but not the unlock. the lights will flash and chirp when locking. it'll also flash when clicking unlock, but it doesn't unlock the doors. anyone know whats going on?

Just one door or all doors.

Mine does something funny like that too, but kinda the other way around. Everything works from the fob but the drivers door will not lock from the button/switch inside the car.

I just noticed recently that my unlock fob only unlocks the doors, never the hatch. Hasnt been a real issue, just an annoyance so far. Hadnt looked into it yet

While not addressing your specific issue, this interesting post appeared a few days ago on the Ross-Tech forum. It discusses the tricky proposition of replacing MK V door control modules (2005-2007). Hopefully this isn't the path you have to go.

I had to replace both door control modules on my '06 2 door. had the same issues as the OP.

mine is intermittent. Sometimes it unlocks the hatch, other times it doesnt. 2008 rabbit. I have a mk6 gti also and don't have any issues
