I just went to a Midas near me to see how much a resonator delete would be and he said $250! How can that be for like 18 inches of pipe?!

Should be $50. Go to a real exhaust shop.

Agreed, can't remember if it was a Midas or a Meineke that quoted me $175 and I laughed and told them I had a friend that would do it for $50 the next weekend but I didn't want to wait and he dropped it to $40 lol. Well my good sir you have a deal! So I had mine done with stainless steel for $40.

Yeah $250 is outrageous. $100 max is what I would pay and even that's a stretch.
