Hey!

My name is Hector. Just picked up a 08 BMP GTI 6MT 2dr and I love it. Its car #14 for me in a long list that was comprised mainly of Japanese cars. Hondas to be more precise. This is my first german car and I honestly wonder to myself why I never drove one before. My buddy has an 06 on bags and the first time i saw him slam it to the ground and raise it back up I was sold. Pick one up 4 days later.

First VW

Just picked up my first VW and new to the forum. I bought a CPO Mk5 R32 with 25k miles (#684/5000). She is completely stock aside from the Continental DWS tires. Already put about 1,000 miles on the car in just under a week and pretty happy so far. My 2 most recent cars were E46 M3 SMGs('02 and a '06 comp pkg), totally different driving experience but I can say this transmission is just the bees knees compared to an SMG

Anyway - hi all and happy to join the VW owners list.

Hi all!
Names trump... Have a 09 gti tsi model. Cw
Completely stock.
Bought it with check engine light, cracked windshield, door dent, etc.
Bought it for a reasonable price now fixing most of it through warranty.
Willin to mod it up after everything is settled.

Hello.

Hello To everyone. I just purchased a 94 Golf III for my daughter. It runs great for having 160K on it. It has some issues to work out like the check engine light is on, some plastic parts on the dash/steering column and glove box are broken. I am a mechanic by trade so labor is covered and so is technical ability. I am looking forward to utilizing this site to get information about this vehicle. I have had a couple Rabbits in the past and I was very satisfied with them.

Figured i might as well introduce myself, I've been lurking for a while getting technical info, etc.

I'm not new to forums(in fact have been am admin on Hyundai site), cars or modding, but i am new to the mkv platform. Anyway, here's my car. 07 GTI DSG. Only have the neuspeed intake and smoked sidemarkers, dash shelf, euro switch, changed a dead coil pack, VAG-COM session- thanks to GolfMKV member "Bake" (and an ipod adapter if that counts, lol) so far. Also have a set of Audi A4 "flat five" 16'' wheels with General snows on them.
Plans for the future include maybe a mild lowering, an exhaust, and a stage 1 tune. I'd like to get a roof rack too as I'm a cyclist. Nothing too crazy as its my daily driver and i like it a lot as is. I've learned hard lessons about making your daily your fun car as well. To be honest its fast enough already to get me in trouble quickly, lol. I cant believe i just said the phrase "fast enough". lol.
In the past I've owned and modded: 87 Volvo 740 turbo wagon, 89 Saab 900, 93 Ford Ranger, 96 Ford Contour SE, 98 Ford Escort zx2, MKIV Jetta VR6 (almost soured me on VWs permanently- terrible car), 03 Hyundai Tiburon GT (by far the most modding I've done.. it was my baby), 89 Jeep Cherokee, 07 Hyundai Accent and lastly the MKV GTI.

Pics:

winter mode

bonus Tiburon pic-it pulled 188hp at the wheels on the dyno.. not bad for a car that started out with about 140whp. Haters gonna hate :)

New here thought I would share a little bit about my car.

Had my 06 GLI for around a half year and at the moment it has around 93k on it. I use it as my commuter putting on around 80 miles a day.

Only mods are some black plastidip covering up the previous owners curb love, and the chrome front emblem and a set of racelands to replace the broken stock suspension it had on it when I got it.

Edit: the PO did the blacked out side markers

Hey everyone,
Just picked up an '08 FSI GTI with around 66k miles on it. Mostly lurking around trying to learn the basics. Won't post much since most of my noob questions will have already been answered but just thought I'd say hi.

^ Looks like the clip for the passenger side headlamp washer is broken. Unfortunately, that clip is the whole washer piece. It's sort of pricey.

Nice that the lowers are already colormatched though.
