Been neglecting the GTI recently in that I haven't taken it for a proper drive for ages. Done <1000k's in the last 4 months and mainly been washing, waxing and looking at it instead. Too many stones flying around for my liking (and too few corners to really enjoy it).
Took it out for a blast around its new home in Griffith and took a few shots along the way.
Thought I'd share. Please excuse the ugly bra
Started with an appreciation of the detail work (one week's worth of dust sitting on it) and a bit of playing around with the polarising filter which I just discovered today works a treat for showing off your paintwork too.
Filter Off / Filter On
Twisting the filter gives reflection or makes it look flat.
This is pretty much all I've got to play with out here...
Spot of tennis? This was just put up this weekend in Barellan.
Occupied myself last week by painting the badge - plasti-dip.
Looks ok from a few paces, but up close the finish is poor. Good for a reversible mod. They only had white spray so the outer bit has satin black spray paint over the white plasti-dip spray.
My new house. Pretty sweet crib I think you'll agree.
Messing about twisting the filter again.
Nearly hit this little guy - thought he was a piece of wood in the road. Anyone know what kind it is?
Just got to get some boots for these badboys now and we're getting there.
Thinking of getting them sprayed / powdercoated gunmetal first - thoughts?
