happened to me, just like your's. Replaced the whole headliner under warranty. I live in South Florida.

I am having the same problem as the op but I don't have a sunroof. I guess it makes sense that due to the humidity here in Sfl and a bad coat of adhesive would make the headliner begin to sag. The bad part is that I am out or warranty.

Bad news. I went to the dealership today and they said there is nothing they can do for me. The car is off warranty and the goodwill warranty is only for the original owner. This is bullshit. Where can I find some interlagos plaid?

My dad had this issue on his 07 Jetta. His wasn't too bad, it was around the center part with the lights and sunglasses holder. They replaced his under warranty
