FS: 2.0T FSI APR HPFP - $400 SOLD

For Sale:

-------------
SOLD ---- 1 used APR HPFP - slight wear on end of piston due to a failed cam follower.
-------------
Update:
I also have passenger side engine mount and transmission mount insert from 034 Motorsports in my storage. Open to offers! 160 for both (+shipping).
-------------

I caught the failure before the cam was damaged and had logged before and after to verify it was still holding pressure. The pump is fully operational. I have since sold my GTI and have had this in the APR box for a while. I would like to find it a good warm home.

Brand new from APR is $1099 Rebuild is $649 and im not sure how much a new stock pump is these days.

If anyone wants this pump i'll let it go for $400 + shipping or best offer in 2 weeks.

Ill post pictures when i get back to work.

Thanks,
James

Yeah, I just moved to Fremont and found this box at my other desk at work. Called up APR and they said they don't do any other warranty work other than a full price rebuild.

Pump worked great for me so i wanted to pass it along since the move kinda hurt the bank. Haven't been on here in a long while, i'm loving the G37 but I still miss the GTI. The G just has everything i want, except forced induction, but that will change soon enough).

I have a spare pump laying around, I wonder if I could swap out that worn piece? ... hmm

The part damaged IS independent of the re-manufactured HPFP piston. Let me get a mini spring compressor and i'll see what it looks like off? Looks quite simple, anyone installing this pump might be able to swap from their stock pump to this one.

Not taking it down any farther than this but it looks like that piece on the end may be rebuild-able.

The end piece looks like 2 pieces, the worn part appears to be a press fit into the spring retainer.

It doesn't even show this piece on the APR site

From APR:

James,

The retainer is press fit but uses a special tool for removal and installation. As well this isn't a part that VW/Audi sales separately so the only way to get one is off of a pump, which we do not have any at our disposal currently. Unless you want to buy a brand new fuel pump just to get the retainer.

Thanks,
