My Details:
I wanna get rid of wheel gap.
I plan on running a set of 18x8 +40et (forged 18lbs) wheels either with a
225/40 (not so low- flushed) or a 215/40 (stretched to go lower)

I will have people in the back from time to time.
Not a Daily Driver
I drive fast
I live in Houston,TX
It's gotta be a smooth ride, well at least smoother than factory
Basically I want the best of the two.
THANX in advance

fk silverline x (uses koni shocks)

Konis ride smoother.

Have better customer support (office in Kentucky)

APR used them in Eurotuner magazine's 'Ultimate GTI Shootout' ...and won.

Konis rear perches can be adjusted on the car easily. Not with FKs.

FKs may use Koni dampers, but are not as well engineered, supported, or accomplished.

He said he drives fast and wants a smooth ride, not 'poses for pictures with his nuts on the ground just to drive off bouncing around over every seam in the pavement'.

Nope, ya fukt it up.

And who in their right mind thinks they're going to get a set of warrantied FKs off ebay?
Good luck with that one.
"My FK's damper blew because I was moar low. I need warranty work."
Where did you buy them?
"Got em off ebay."
Hahaha. Not gonna happen.

OP, call up DBC and get the Konis. They support their services on this forum, and you will most definitely get good service from them and Koni.

x2.
This guy knows what he's talking about when it comes to suspension.

If you are looking to SLAM? FK > Koni.

If you are going for a good comfortable ride quality with a good amount of drop? Koni > FK.

WOW thanks for all the feedback. I have few more question will the Koni's seize up? I know the Fk's won't because they are SSteal. Also what comes with the konis? Does it include new end links like the FK kit? Is it a good idea to get this http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-Golf_V--2.0T/Suspension/Install_Kit/ES248799/

my car is an 09 with only 6300 miles. I bought it in MAY 09 with 90 miles NEW

thanks again in advance
