Does this engine sound right?!?

could anyone tell me if the engine should sound like that?

sounds normal. sounds a little louder then usuall but that may be in part to there not being a noise pipe on the engine. least not one i can see.

Ye it does sound a little louder than normal but I don't think the noise pipe would do that. It's just there to bring noise into the cabin. Gti's do sound like diesel tractors tho. Would like to see way others have to say.. Hope all is ok..

Yes its normal,
The ticking noise (just like desiel engines) is the fuel injector if I'm not mistaken.

Sounds pretty normal. These FSIs do make quite a racket. I do hear one tone that seems slightly abnormal though, sounds almost like the sound that a failing timing chain would make...but I don't hear it all the time in that clip. Can you post a clip with a blip in the throttle to 3k or so then 10-15 seconds of settling time? Hearing the sound of the revs settling would make abnormalities easier to spot.

Well to start off your car clearly has problems cause the steering wheels is on the wrong side? lol

The ticks seem to be a little accented compared to what my motor sounds like, did you mis shift, over rev, run low on oil etc... to make you think you have a problem?
