Can't be done.
Yes it can.
It is a setting in the Instrument Cluster Control Module J285.
It is coded into the 3rd and 4th digits of the coding string.
If it is currently On, Subtract 01 from whatever value is there
and the warning will go away.

So in this example, changing the original coding string of
0007104 to 0006104 would disable the brake pad warning.

Yes it will. If your replacement pads have sensors.

I just have the circuit looped from where the pad sensor plugs into the car wiring. But I guess vagcom is an option... haven't plugged into my car recently to try disabling it.

My bad. But since anyone doing this probably isn't using OEM pads anyway why not just cut the wires right at the pad and use a waterproof wire nut or shrink tubing to keep the light off?
