less mass = faster heat soak
drilled = cracked rotor
slotted = faster wear on pads
drilled = hissing noise every time you brake
drilled or slotted = more expensive

no brainer to me

So I'll go for plain rotors.

Laurent, S3 and R32 brakes are the same, the small difference you see in the pics (besides the colour) is the shape of the retaining spring (this one has S3 written on it and is a little longer on S3)

Yes, you're right. Even if there is some more little difference. See picture below, it's seems to be only esthetic to make it look bigger.

so if we do an bbk upgrade from stock gti, would we upgrade the pads as the same on the stock gti becuase it uses the same stock dimensions? like hawk hps?. Also if the rotor warps would that mean it would cost $$ to change the rotors?
