they are very nice they full sweep electrical right?

yessir. They have the sensor units that are remote mounted, and they send the digital signal to the gauge.

They do dim in a way. If you hook up the dimmer switch, they turn to about half brightness. But, when you turn the dimmer rheostat next to the headlight switch, they flicker and mess up. They are either all the way bright during the day, or dimmed at night when you turn on the headlights. I didn't like it like that, so I unhooked the dimmer switch so they're just 100% brightness all the time. If you wanted them dimmed, you hook up the dimmer wire from the gauges to the gray wire on the headlight switch in the dash.

i think thats probably how i would want them bright during the day so i can see it with the sunlight and darker at night so i'm not blinded by my gauges. thanks for this very helpful in what i want for gauges.

these look awesome

with just the boost gauge - do you need any sort of control unit for these? or is the racer series just like a standard boost gauge?

if so - i may get the offset mount and throw one of these bad-boys in there

Sorry for reviving a dead thread, but thanks for informing me of your experience with SEA in Waterford. After hearing that, I am glad I passed on getting (APR) tuned there.
