It's not the strobes that are annoying, it's people taking pictures of them rather than using them to take pictures.

I see no point in having the light behind the car, and with that removed and the light in front of the car out of the picture that would have looked a lot better IMO.

You're right, there is no point at all for those lights to be where they are. we were shooting from the other side, so for that, they were correctly positioned.
