I want to get this eventually. Can you print pages out? Can you give it to another person (say, if you are selling your car and the new owner wants it)?

I don't mind reading off a screen if the interface is good (the PDF of my bike manual sucks to browse through), but having a print out of, say, torque specs is useful.

Dunno. I only have 30,000+ miles on my '06 and have not had to do any service other than oil changes. I will buy it when I need to do my brakes or whatever else comes up first. I cannot imagine why you could not print out pages. Also it does not specifically say that the format is PDF. It could be some goofy proprietary format. Hopefully someone could chime in who has already bought the DVD manual.

I'm pretty much assuming it's a proprietary format that doesn't allow printing and disables screenshots unless I hear positively otherwise.

try ebay. or go to a dealer and see if you can buy one. worse comes to worse if you could find someone who totaled their gti and get theirs.

Wrong. I just spent 30 minutes searching the entire MKV FAQ section.
If your going to reply with "helpful info" at least provide the link.
Also I do not believe that the vortex is going to post copyrighted material of the service repair manual. Please prove me wrong.
