What is this sensor?

I was swapping my coilpack to find out the misfire problem, and saw one of the sensor is almost broken apart. But I don't know what it is. :iono:
anyone can help me and the part number if possible?

I would also like to know, I broke the same sensor in stalling my down pipe last weekend:mad0259:

I have already replaced it once, also for breaking off.

Its actually the camshaft adjustment sensor, and can be replaced very easily even by the non technical.Just be carefull not to drop the allen screws, and do it with a COLD ENGINE.

so I got the part number of it 06F 109 257 A
ETKA shows "control valve", and it's pricy too ($104@1st VW parts).
