Finally got the koni's on
A guy at work is selling some wheels, 17x9.5 et40 wheels. I'm really interested in them but I'm kinda worried about fitment. I've checked a few sites, but nothing has really given me a definitive answer.
So what size tires would I need to attempt to fit these, I have a set of 205/50/17 and 225/45/17. Can anybody shed some light on this for me... I've never had a set of aftermarket wheels on any of my cars before so this is all kinda new to me.
250 from parts4euro w a code and free shipping. 150 is a deal if they work right!
I've test fit 17x8 ET35 wheels with mostly stock camber and 235/40/17 tires (wider, but shorter than 225/45's). 24.5" FTG on super sports. It rubbed.
There is no way you'll be able to run 205/50's. They'll look weird first off because they're tall and narrow. Second, the ET is a little higher, but 1.5" wider. Are they 5x112?
I'm no expert, but I would say a 205/40 or 205/45 would be better. 225/45 is OEM which won't work at all.
What suspension do you have BTW?
These wheels are 5x114.
I have a few sets of tires, I'm running 205/50/17 on my front Denvers w/ 235/45 in the back. but have several sets of 225 and 235. Also have a few 205/40 and 205/45 tires. bryangb on Vortex recommended 215/40-45/17 I'd have to ask around to try a test fit w/ those sizes however, Couldn't find any at work...
Right now I'm on FK Silverlines, 23.75" FTG Front and 24" Rear.
Used a heat gun to adjust the fender liners. After putting in the Koni's I had some rubbing going on. That problem was solved. Now for some whoring..
