Weight Distribution MK5 GTI

[GTI2007]

I found on this site the weight distribution of the MK5 GTI.

According to them the weight distribution for the manual version of the GTI is:

Rear: 41 %
Front: 59 %

There was no info for the DSG GTI. They also said that the curbweight is 3308 lbs which is SO wrong.

The manual also has an indication of weight distribution...the GTI is VERY front-heavy.

it's fwd and that's not that bad. my gto was 55/45 and was rwd. It handles nice.

41/59 is not bad...especially if you are like me and throw a system in the car or do some weight mods. Once you throw a box, some subs, plus an amp or two, and maybe some cf up front you start to even out the weight.

Yeah, doesn't feel too bad to me, particularly when that rear-end swings out a bit on a hard corner.
I'm not 100% positive on this, but I recall reading recently that the DSG adds about 200 lbs, presumably to the front end.

I am curious to know how the dsg fairs.. i imagine its a bit heavier in the front than the manual. Ill have to browse through my manual.
