Does anyone have experience with the generic ebay vag com cables?
Looking to get one. Used cables still run 100 or so. So 20 seems much better.
I would still need to buy the program but id have to do that either way.

Yes, they are useless. Spend a little more and get the real cable. It pays for itself the first time you skip the dealership.

Yup. I tried mine for a few things with no luck. If you want to just scan codes get a bluetooth obd2 reader.

What about the apr dongle? All im looking to do is get better reads on ky codes. My current obd2 reader just gives the p0029 code. And im trying to get a readout like vag com where it will tell me more specific. Tracking down a boost.
