I currently have a radeon x300 card. I dont think that will do?.....

I know people are playing on xp but i think its just my video card thats holding it back.

You should have no problem playing UT3... don't quite understand why you couldn't. Just wind down your screensize and in the advanced options under Video try reducing the details... this'll cause it to run smoother on older machines. Not sure what's gone wrong in your case as it's working fine for most people - even peeps on mid-range machines.

When you get it together - I'll see you on the battlefield online (then you can blast me for calling you lame hehe :biggrin: )

yeah dl the torrent instead. Get utorrent if you dont already have it.

Im runing a radeon 300 graphics card if that matters? like it wont even start the game after i installed.

I'm using an Nvidia GeForce G 7400 in my laptop with XP SP2. No problems at all. Not sure what the problem is.

I can't do anything more other than to give you my spare p4 with a $30 video card in it to enable you to play this demo (before you ask - aint gonna happen). That has no problems playing the demo either and I'm using it as a media server.

I am soo pleased that this game is closer to UT than its 2003/4 etc versions (which I think suck btw).....

Its playing well on my laptop and is fabulous on my main PC... Love it and the demo is keeping me amused until cod4 that is...

Ok i tried that hotfix, and when i went to click the ut icon to play it gave me this message: This application has failed to start because wxmsw262u.dll was not found. Re install the app may fix this problem.

No it does not, any help guys? Im soooo bored.

I've uploaded the DLL for you. It belongs here :

C:\Program Files\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\Binaries

All other attempts to find the DLL online returned darkweb results.

Good luck - it appears you're not alone and it's the type of graphics card you're rocking. Damn shame as it's a great demo. Unlike Radiohead's new album - I'll definitely be buying this.

EDIT : Make sure you have your firewall and Antivirus switched off before installing/playing the demo. This has helped others in the same situation. (makes sense).
