Uneven body panel gaps at front bumper

I'm thinking of correcting an uneven body gap problem at my Mk5's driver-side headlight on my own. The bumper slightly droops down and won't completely lock with the grille's driver-side locking clip.

As I see it, I need to take the bumper off, maybe replace the bumper guide rail (1K0 807 889A) under the driver-side headlight (for good measure) and then just put the bumper back on just like that.

Local body shops keep quoting me for 2 hrs work but self-taught like I am, I want to have a look at this myself. Is it as easy as I presume or should I take it to a shop?

I have headlight washers stock and front fogs retrofitted.

Spot the difference...

Interested in this as well, took my bumper off when I installed my FMIC and was never able to get it to sit perfectly again, have the same droop you're talking about

Well, since I was installing a new fender liner, I also took off the bumper.

adamgti, you may want to adjust the plastic supporting piece under the drooping part. The piece is secured by two Torx T20 screws and the screw holes are have space for adjustment. Adjust upwards towards the light :)
