I built my AR totally by myself without any special tools. The biggest bitch would be assembling the BCG but I bought a complete BCG from Crytic Coatings. It really is stupid easy to build an AR. I didn't even need any punches.

This guy says he built an AR but the hardest part was the BCG LOL:dnftt:

No punches too boot mist of been so fun getting those roll pins in the lower or aligning your gas block:lol: how about proper tq of barrel nut? Just by feel?

I said the BCG would have been the hardest part without the specialty tools like a Fat wrench and stakers

Roll pins were easy...drop in trigger and KNS anti roll pins made it easier

I don't consider a TQ wrench a specialty tool

Gas block was simple I started the roll pin in the gas block so I only needed to hit the pin once to get it into the gas tube. As for aligning it with the barrel the barrel is dimpled and I made marks on the block and barrel to double check. It's not fuckin rocket science. Quality parts help to.

I'm looking for recommendations for a solid EDC knife, something small enough to fit comfortably and discretely in a front pants pocket. Opinions are welcome.

These are two of my EDC knives I favor, but also carry a couple Spyderco's.

The first one is not assisted opening, but very light due to the CF. The second is a little larger and heavier and has assisted opening.

Thanks for that. I was just looking at Spydercos, and a couple of the Cold Steel Recon models. I had a cheaper knife on order from Amazon last week, but cancelled it so I could do some more research.

For a little less, this one is pretty good. I got one on a group buy awhile back, and although I usually don't like the drand this one is pretty nice.

I believe I got it for $89 on the group buy.

Oh wow, that seems like a very nice piece. I'm going to need to check Kershaw out now, too. I've never had an EDC knife before, so I'm also looking for something that feels "natural," if that makes sense.

I just picked up a Gen 3 Glock 26 for EDC :happyanim:

As soon as I shot it, I knew I didn't need a 43. I carried the 26 all day and man, what a difference compared to my 23. Absolutely invisible in the waistband.

For such a small gun, it shoots so smooth. Follow up shots are a breeze. What a great little self defense pistol.

I'm getting a Don Hume 715 iwb holster today to try out a cheap, single clip, leather, holster for appendix carry. Seen some good reviews and my buddy loves his. For $27 I imagine I will like it lol
