For all you San Diego people....I had to go to Palm Springs/Desert this weekend and had an AWESOME drive in my 07' GTI. If you haven't done so this is a great drive to put your GTI through some great twisty mountain roads. Take the 15 N to the 79 E to the 371 to the 74 towards Palm Desert. Had some great high speed cornering in both sport and manual mode. Also, I didn't hit a lot of traffic along this route and the drivers I did come up on were very kind and pulled off at the turnouts to let me pass. Great weekend!!!
