service at 16,800 miles?

a notification started popping up to service in 200 miles which would be at around 16,800 miles. That would be 10,000 miles after I bought it from the dealership. The thing is the same message popped up at 11,800 miles, so I changed the oil and disabled the message, and about 700 miles ago was the 2nd time I changed the oil. Is this message anything important that requires a visit to the stealership, or should I just disable it again? And, is this going to happen every 5,000 miles?

some dealers set it for 10,000, many set it for 5k. 5k is a good choice so youre on your "A" game with maintence. Change the oil every 5 k and do all the required services. no worries

yes... these motors really should have their oil changed at 5k... 10k is waaay to long
