Ringtones

Hi,

I cannot for the life of me work out how to do this, hopefully someone on here knows...

... In the settings on the display unit you can choose ringtone for incoming calls, yet whenever my iphone is connected through Bluetooth, any incoming calls has the iphone ringtone coming through the speakers and not the preset one I have chosen for the car ringtone.

Does that make sense?

I've looked in the manual but I'll be honest I got lost within the 400 plus pages.........

This isn't an issue at all I would just like to know how it works.

I connect an andriod phone through bluetooth & an incoming call will ring with my phone's usual ringtone from the phone & also the car's ringtone from the speakers. This was also the case with previous car (a honda). So maybe a different situation to you but are you sure your phone's ringtone is coming through the speakers & not just from the phone itself? Either way, i think the only solution is to put the phone on silent so when it rings, only the car ringtone goes off!
