So I know I'm probably crazy but ufck it... Currently running 235/35/19 on 19x8.5 et35. I'm not uber low so I don't rub. Now just based off of calculations a 235/40/18 will be about 2mm smaller in diameter, so this should net me a teeny tiny bit more clearance, correct?
Now my question is about running that tire size on a 18x9.5 et45 wheel. Anyone running this size? I know Alphards are et40 and people run 225 with camber.
I don't plan on dumping my car eventually I will go a bit lower. Keep in mind this is for the REAR on my GLI, not sure if the GLI has more room in the rear compared to the GTI or not but figured I would mention it, because iirc someone had told me it did.
As for the front, my current wheels are square, so same measurements currently. New wheels I'm looking at 18x8.5 et45. Wondering if I could get away with the 235's or if I should just stick to some 225's?
