problem disconnecting the brake pad sensor

I've seen just about every D-I-Y video and tutorial for replacing brake pads. Neither tutorial shows you exactly how to disconnect the sensor. I don't see any kind of clip to depress and I don't want to break it. Please advise.

And of course as soon as I posted this I apply a little elbow grease to the piece that looks like a clip and it disconnects.
