Can't buy a Mk6 yet, so the next best thing is to go 1+5!

So, which do you enjoy driving most?

You can't really compare them in some ways. And, so far, my driving experience is mostly Hume Hwy miles! Although I have had one blast up Black Mountain.

The Mk1 is desperately underpowered, under braked and under pretty much everything else compared to the Mk5, haha. But once you get past the culture shock of driving a 30 year old car it is quite fun. It's just so basic and raw.

And noisy and rattly.

I was looking at it about a month ago and was considering buying it, but decided to make my V the best it could be.

I was tailing it on a VWW GTG a few months back. Looked like a lot of fun to drive.

3 door GTI MKI's aren't easily come by from what I could find. Nice to see it went to a good home.

Do you have any plans for it?

What a great looking car Liam... such a classic. And your photos are spectacular as well (and as usual!) :)

Like GTI_SS, I'm also keen to hear what plans (if any) you have for the car.

That's cool, does it need much restoration/maintenance work?

I need a run around like that so mine doesn't sit outside too much.
