Got an optima yellow top, which has terminals on the top, and protruding horizontally.
The horizontal ones can be removed via a 19mm hex head socket or wrench.

I used this as my second battery for about 10 months, supplementing my main battery. Have a nice system, and thought this was necessary. I have since learned a decent amount, and know that two batteries in a car is extraneous.

I have a diehard platinum up front, so don't need this anymore. It's been sitting around my house for two weeks.

Holds a charge perfectly; tested yesterday and it was in the mid 12V's.

Note that there is a small scuff from where I dropped a wrench and it contacted both the + and - horizontal terminals for about 1/10th of a second. Battery works fine, just a small black scuff on the horizontal + terminal.
