Odd problem with auto power window on driver side

2007 GTI with DSG.

Today, I was driving to the store and I wanted to roll down the driver side window for some fresh air. I noticed that while the window switch worked fine for manual up/down, the auto up/down did not (you know, "click" to engage). On both the driver and passenger side switches, auto for the passenger window worked correctly. So, I parked and shut the car off, waited a bit and then started back up - same problem. Weird, huh?

Has anyone else experienced a problem like this? Personally, I think the switch might be faulty. Just checking before I call the dealer.

Might just need to be recycled, try manually pressing both all the way down and then back up a few times, then restart your car after a bit and see if that works.

Just started up again after waiting a couple hours and now everything works. Very bizarre - never seen anything like it before.
